Blogger would not let me update this post so I am adding it as a comment. Notice that we had freezing temperatures from Dec 4-13. Two days, Dec 5 and 6 we never broke freezing. This period of time was accompanied by significant wind gusts which will add to plant damage. Even though 'wind chill' does not affect plants like it does warm blooded animals it still has damaging effects from dessication and removal of any surface heat gained from radiation during the day.
